October is Italian Heritage and Culture Month

ABOUT THE WCIAO

We are an alliance of Italian American civic, educational and social groups based in the county of Westchester, NY, whose purpose is to preserve, promote, celebrate and share Italian and Italian American history, culture, and ideals, and further the study of the Italian language in our schools.

Galileo Galilei, the Father of Modern Astronomy, is our honored person this year.   Join us as we celebrate the 400th anniversary of his landmark observations of the night sky, which were made possible by his great improvements to a then-rudimentary telescope.   Learn more about Galileo here.
